The FIRM Magazine features a dedicated section for our ReSKILLING Project due to its commitment to ensuring that the human dimension remains of the centre of the transforming transport landscape. 

Just like in many other sectors, automation, digitalisation and the growing use of artificial intelligence are considered a revolution in the transport domain. AI offers great opportunities for efficiency, safety and sustainability, but it also raises critical concerns about jobs, skills and fairness in the transition. 

On 20 january, 2026, the ReSKILLING Project contributed to a high-level EU–Japan bilateral meeting on automation in road transport.

On 5 March 2025, the European Commission officially released its Action Plan for the Future of the Automotive Industry, outlining a strategic vision to support the sector’s twin transition (green and digital) while addressing its social and economic implications.
