Introducing RESKILLING: preparing workforce in Europe's transport sector for CCAM deployment

The mobility sector is undergoing a transformative shift with Connected, Cooperative & Automated Mobility (CCAM) revolutionising the way we move people and goods. To ensure Europe’s workforce and businesses are prepared for this change, the Horizon Europe-funded RESKILLING project will deliver adequate skills and knowledge for workers, businesses, and policy makers.

Funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe programme (GA No. 101147328), RESKILLING brings together 20 leading partners from the fields of CCAM, education & training, skills development, and (social) innovation. The project is coordinated by CERTH/HIT and will run for the next three years to address one of the most pressing challenges in transport automation: future-proofing the workforce.

What will RESKILLING deliver?

  • A deep dive into CCAM's employment & socioeconomic impacts—short-, medium-, and long-term.
  • Empowering businesses & workers to navigate the challenges and seize opportunities in CCAM, ensuring sustainable employment growth and fostering social innovation.
  • Upskilling & reskilling across diverse fields, ensuring that the workforce is ready for the future of transport.
  • Building a strong CCAM stakeholder community to co-develop solutions, amplify project outcomes, and drive large-scale adoption.

With CCAM reshaping transport, RESKILLING aims to ensure we all capitalise on these emerging technologies!

Stay tuned for updates and contribute to this discussion as we pave the way toward a skilled, resilient, and future-ready workforce!
