This month, Thierry Goger (FEHRL) was a speaker at the closing Executive Session of the 4th International Road Federation (IRF Global) Europe & Central Asia Regional Congress & Exhibition in Tbilisi (Georgia).

The session explored how transport organisations can build the skills, leadership and capacity to keep pace with new technologies, digitalisation and changing workforce needs.

Mr Goger and the rest of the speakers underlined how technical innovation alone is not enough: continuous learning and collaboration between research, academia and international organisations are key to making these transitions happen fairly and smoothly.

This narrative is fully in line with the project main goal to identify the transport workforce skills needed for the digital transition and support their uptake across the sector.

Warm thanks to Moderator Magid Elabyad, Chief Operating Officer, (IRF Global) and speakers Hristo Grozdanov (University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy of Sofia) and Marko Oreskovicć (University of Belgrade)
